What to Expect on Closet Install Day

Key takeaways

  • Clear the closet beforehand
  • The crew protects floors and works neatly
  • Everything is tested before they leave
  • Expect a short walkthrough at the end

Before the crew arrives

Empty the closet, if you can, and clear a path from the door to the room. Move fragile items and tell us about pets and parking.

If emptying the closet is a lot, we can arrange an organizing visit first.

During the install

The crew covers floors and carries in panels, then removes any old shelves and patches holes. They mount rails and cabinets, set shelves and hang doors, checking level and plumb as they go.

Drawers and doors are adjusted so reveals are even and everything glides.

The finish

Before leaving, the crew loads a shelf, opens every drawer and walks you through adjustments and care. They remove packaging and sweep up.

You can then put your clothes back in. Many people find it the most satisfying part of the project.
