Design and Planning

The measurements that make it fit.

A careful survey records walls, corners, outlets, vents and trim, so the cabinetry fits tightly and installs cleanly.

Measure twice, build once.
The overview

What it is, and why it matters.

A closet system looks built-in only when it fits the room. We measure widths at several heights, check corners for square, note outlets, vents and baseboard and record ceiling height and any slope.

The survey also checks the wall material and the path for delivery, so install day goes smoothly. Everything is captured in photos and notes that feed the design and the cutting list.

Why people choose it

Good questions

In-Home Measuring and Site Survey: common questions

Why measure more than once?

Walls and floors are seldom perfectly straight. Measuring at several points tells us where to scribe or shim so the finished system sits tight.

Do I need to be home?

It helps. You can show us what matters most, and we can ask questions on the spot.
